Halloween Party at the American Library
This annual event is an MLP favourite. The American Library runs three wonderful Halloween parties on the same day each year, with each party aimed at a different age group. This year’s Halloween parties will be on Saturday 21 October. Younger children usually get a combination of crafts and then a musical performance. Older kids get a spookier offering in the evening – this year a Zombie Fashion Show! The American Library parties are a great tradition for the expat community in Paris. Even parents dress up, with some families taking the costumes very seriously in the hope of winning prizes. Old friends spot each other and catch up and it’s a lovely atmosphere. Tickets went on sale earlier in the month for members and will go on sale 13 October for non-members.
Message Halloween Trick-or-Treat Party
Message is a great organisation for parents and parents-to-be living in France. It’s a godsend for English-speaking parents who want to make friends in Paris and a great social network, as well as a source of support and advice. But another great reason to join them is their Halloween party. They’ll be throwing a fantastic one on Sunday 29 October – so maybe you should join Message so you can join the party! We have attended some great Message Halloween parties and parades in previous years in central Paris.
