For One Night Only in Paris

May 20th is THE late night, European Museum Event of the year.

Once a year, major museums across Paris stay open late and invite you to come and check out all the artistic imagery and design on show completely for free!

In Paris alone there are around 216 events taking place, obviously far too many to mention here, but if you click on the European Night of Museums website (highlighted in red), all the events in Paris will miraculously appear.

There is a ton of stuff for kids to enjoy too. Here are just five things we picked out from the list of events that caught our eye.

Oh and you can see a fine Performance of African Music at the Louis Vuitton Fondation from 10pm and Tales of the World at the Quai Branly Museum for no euros whatsoever, so take advantage. There is something for everyone and so much on offer, so take a moment to scroll through the options. It is such a great opportunity to explore the city after the sun goes down with the kids in Paris.

You, your family and friends can enjoy ‘a night at the museum’ of your choice at a time of day or night that suits you because the doors will not be closing until somewhere between 11pm and 1am!

The initiative began 10 years ago and now spans across most of Europe. Alongside the openings will be specially designed workshops for children, presentations and soirees. You will be able to peruse the Musée D’Orsay, Petite Palais, Victor Hugo‘s House, Musée d’Art Moderne and so much more.

Beware of queues. It is likely that you will have to wait a long time to get into some of these venues, but don’t let that put you off, go and have a great experience.

Keep Saturday night free for La Nuit des Musées, this very special art event across Europe. One Night Only!
