For One Night Only in Paris
This saturday night is THE late night, European Museum Event of the year.
Once a year, major museums across Paris stay open late and invite you to come and check out all the artistic imagery and design on show completely for free!
In Paris alone there are around 146 events taking place obviously far too many to mention here, but if you click on the European Night of Museums website (highlighted in red), all the events in Paris will miraculously appear.
There is a ton of stuff for kids to enjoy too. Here are just five things we picked out from the list of events that caught our eye.
- Search for the Mysterious Flower at Musée Congnac-Jay 5:50 – 6:30
- Projections and illuminations at Musée des Arts et Métiers 6pm
- Special Family Fun atelier at Le Petit Palais -at Les ba-Fonds du Baroque exposition
- The Tropical Aquarium at Musée de L’histoire des Immigration 6pm – 9pm
- The Tin Tin Exposition at Musée en Herbe at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm
You, your family and friends can enjoy ‘a night at the museum’ of your choice at a time of day or night that suits you because the doors will not be closing until somewhere between 11pm and 1am!
The initiative began 10 years ago and now spans across most of Europe. Alongside the openings will be specially designed workshops for children, presentations and soirees. You will be able to peruse the Musée D’Orsay, Petite Palais, Victor Hugo‘s House, Musée d’Art Moderne and so much more.
Beware of queues. It is likely that you will have to wait a long time to get into some of these venues, but don’t let that put you off, go and have a great experience.
Keep May 16 free for La Nuit des Musées, a special art event in Paris. One Night Only!
