Paris for Kids – 6 places for the under 6’s

Many parents ask MLP to supply more content for very small children, so here are 6 great spaces in Paris for kids, designed to entertain those under the age of 6, plus some insight into whats going on over the next few weeks.

1. Movie dates for kids

Every Wednesday and Sunday there are special screenings for the little people, at Forum des Images. Catering for 18 month to 7-year-old children, this weekly cinema special, comes complete with a snack thrown in to keep energy levels up. 2. Free Cinema for Toddlers

The Natural History Museum is launching a cinema club for toddlers. One Saturday per month, kids aged 2-5 are invited to discover what they are calling ‘Pousse Pousse’ Cinema – films focused on getting closer to and understanding nature. The films are diverse and tailored for these young and curious minds. Chosen from a variety of countries and using different animation techniques, they are designed to entertain and help the children learn and have fun at the same time. Each film is about 40 minutes long.

3. Fun interactive session

Paris with kidsCité des Science pour les enfants is a magical place. This vast science museum in Northern Paris, is a guaranteed good time for the smaller kids. There is a special section packed with interactive activities for children and it is split by age. so the 2- 7’s get their own dedicated fun hub. The whole space is fantastic but this particular section is perfect for younger kids. Totally recommend it!

4. Musical inspiration

Music workshops for the kids from 3 months to 7 years old. Banging drums, clashing those symbols, strumming guitars! Put yer ear protectors on Mama, while the kids make as much musical noise as possible, at this wonderful music venue in the 19th district of Paris. Details of the workshops can be found on the website, definitely worth visit.

5. A Little Drama

The Theatre Dunois creates plays for kids from 2 years old. The shows range from; standard drama to contemporary arts and dance and suitable for children up to the age of 14. There is plenty on the agenda going forward to entertain you. Here are the newest 2 shows with titles translated to english.

The Flying Cow:  A dance interpretation of what goes through children minds when they are playing. A world-class ballet show apparently. January 6 – 17th

Red Shoes: A well-known tale from Hans Christian Anderson for you. January 20 – 31st

6. Storytelling

The House of Tales and Stories does exactly what it says on the tin! Transporting children into a new world with engaging storytelling, that alters depending on the age of the child.
